On July 12-13, 2022, employees of Belplemzhivobedinenie paid a working visit to the Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry - VIZH named after Academician L.K. Ernst (Podolsk, Russian Federation). During the visit, a meeting was held with the Director of the Center Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Zinovieva N.A., Deputy Director for General Affairs Candidate of Biological Sciences Gusev I.V., Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Functional and Evolutionary Animal Genomics Candidate of Biological Sciences Kharzinova V.R. Senior Researcher, Candidate of Biological Sciences Deniskova T.E. spoke about the current research conducted by the group of genetics and genomics of small ruminants. Head of the Department of Population Genetics and Genetic Fundamentals of Animal Breeding Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Sermyagin A.A. spoke about the process of quality control of milk. In the laboratory of experimental embryology with the head of the laboratory, candidate of biological sciences Singina G.N. discussed the latest achievements in the field of cloning of farm animals and were convinced of the high efficiency of research by scientists from the V.I. L.K. Ernst.
The meeting resulted in the signing of a protocol of intent on cooperation, which will speed up the process of development and implementation of genomic selection in the cattle breeding of the republic.
